Martin, I spent some time looking at your “rock” notes. Amazing! You have forgotten more about rock than I ever knew. I think I was born without a music appreciation gene as music has never been that important to me. Occasionally a song will strike my fancy but I do not have an overwhelming desire to listen. You should convert this into a blog. There is bound to be many others who would find this interesting and share their interests with you.

Thanks for the compliments, Mike! That means a lot to me, truly. I don’t have a blog, but I have put together a website that you might be interested in as well (with my no-frills website-writing system, getting the labels to line up with the photos has been a running battle since I started it: Now they look fine on the home computer but are way off on the office computer – don’t know what you will see 🙁 ). These posts started off really small but have kind of ballooned out of control, particularly with setting up the website as well. I am bumping up against the end of the month for the next band (the Soul Agents, an early 1960’s British R&B band that backed Rod Stewart for a while). I have gotten some nice compliments over the years, including some from those who were in the bands that I talked about (some are FB friends now 🙂 ). I connected with a rock historian in Italy just this morning in fact. Anyway, see what you think:

The Under-Appreciated Rock Band of the Month for May 2014 (yeah, I know it’s June now 🙁 ) is THE SOUL AGENTS, a fine British R&B band who backed Rod Stewart in the early part of his career. I also examine the formation of Cream and the various bands that formed in the wake of the break-up. All can be seen in my Notes.
