As I said, the Under-Appreciated Rock Band of the Month for January 2015 is THE CRAWDADDYS, the San Diego 1960’s-style R&B band that launched the Sixties revival scene of the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, leading inexorably to the Garage Rock Revival of the early 2000’s – the White Stripes, the Killers, Queens of the Stone Age, the Black Keys, etc. Don’t forget the “Story of the Month” that I have been including at the end of the posts for the past year or so; this time it is on the saga of John Mellencamp who was unknowingly saddled with the name Johnny Cougar at the beginning of his recording career.
