The Under-Appreciated Rock Band of the Month for September 2014 is NICK FREUND, a Catholic priest who worked with four of his students in a band called THE SEARCH PARTY and also created remarkable choral music. My examination of Religion and Rock Music continues, this time with the Beatles, including the infamous declaration by John Lennon that they “were more popular than Jesus”.
