The Under-Appreciated Rock Band of the Month for May 2013 is HOLLIS BROWN, Bomp! The band is named after a Bob Dylan song, and my commentary on that song expanded into a long section that examines the “protest quotient” in Dylan’s early music – lower than you might think IMHO. Along the way, I give some background on Greg Shaw and Suzy Shaw, and photos of the albums that they released over the years which introduced me to numerous UARB’s, plus the Hollis Brown releases thus far. It is probably easiest now to get to these posts on my Timeline, which is open to all.
