Alfonso Ribeiro and his partner Witney Carson made a fine champion on Dancing with the Stars last night, and they have been joyously making the rounds today. But I come to praise Tommy Chong, the Chinese half of the stoner comedy/musician duo Cheech and Chong. He is 76 now and was the unexpected audience favorite. None of the other older stars have gone nearly so far as Tommy did – he made it all the way to the semi-finals last week. Head Judge Len Goodman – a past champion dancer and choreographer – gave jaw-dropping praise when he told Chong last night that he himself could not have done as well on the show. How cool is that!
