- I have gone to Honey Wheat (Sara Lee brand is what I typically get). If I could find Roman Meal Bread again, I’d go back to that in a heartbeat.

How many of my fellow boomers are also getting tired of these heavy-duty multi-grain breads? There was an eight-grain bread that I really liked when I first got to MS; now they seem to start at 15. I doubt I will ever eat Wonder Bread again, but for breakfast, I have gone to Honey Wheat (Sara Lee brand is what I typically get). If I could find Roman Meal Bread again, I’d go back to that in a heartbeat.

I also really liked that seven-grain bread. The fifteen-grain is just floor sweepings methinks. Roman Meal is still manufactured but I don’t think it has the same distribution it used to. A lot of the problems with having so much availability of foods is that the shelf space is so competitive. If a brand doesn’t sell a certain amount they replace its shelf space with something that sells better.
