The last batch of my record albums that I found at the ruins of our home was my 14-disk audiophile The Beatles, The Collection. It was in the bottom of the bayou for a good 6 months; one disk was missing, and two had barnacles growing on them (yes, barnacles); but the others I cleaned up and just hoped for the best. I have played those albums over the past few weeks, from Hard Day’s Night through Abbey Road; and incredibly, they play just fine – no skips, no pops, and an audiophile feel still. Thank you, Jesus! I had no idea that LP’s were that indestructible.
