Release Data
Pebbles, Volume 17 was released by AIP Records (as #AIP-10032) in 1985 and was kept in print for many years.
Notes on the Tracks
The Novas were responsible for a novelty record called “The Crusher” that was supposedly (though not actually) sung by a well known professional wrestler of the period. This song was covered by the Cramps; the original can be found in the Born Bad series.
The Night Crawlers are evidently a different band from the Nightcrawlers that had a minor hit with “The Little Black Egg” in 1967.
