Melissa Etheridge – Brave and Crazy (1989):  Melissa Etheridge is the first rock musician generally known to be part of the LGBTQ community.  Brave and Crazy is her second album, with the opening track “No Souvenirs” reaching only #95 on the Billboard Hot 100, but achieving #4 on the Canadian charts.  Another song from the album, “You Can Sleep While I Drive” was covered by Trisha Yearwood and peaked at #23 on the country charts.
