To all my Facebook Friends: I have just launched the Under-Appreciated Rock Bands website on Google Sites. Needless to say, it is still under construction, but all of the original Facebook posts are on the web and now accessible to everyone. I’m pretty excited – actually I’m excited just to have figured out how to do a website to the extent that I have. Check it out at:

Okay, I’m starting to get it. I was mostly focused on the content, but a website has to have some flash and color also. It’s not that easy in Google Sites, but I’m working on it, and I’ll keep you posted.
Meanwhile, I have a (plain) index to the various stories and items and mentions and such from my first 13 Under-Appreciated Facebook posts, so you can check that out.

I/ we would be glad to give you any info on the Head Shop as well as the history of the band. Do you still have my email?

All right folks, I have fully indexed the first 7 Under-Appreciated Rock Band and Under Appreciated Rock Artist Facebook post, and I have partially indexed the first 14. No more “Mentions” and long lists going forward; everything is going to have its own page, and I have 200 or so already. Hopefully I have made my website easier to navigate, and more colorful in the bargain. See what you think.

It is still not quite what I wanted, and how it will work out in the real world is unclear, but I do have a full index to my first 13 Under-Appreciated Rock Band and Under-Appreciated Rock Artist posts, i.e., 2009-2010; each line is a link to the respective webpage:

Congrats, I know it took hard work

I have come up with the 2009-2011 Index on my website on the Under Appreciated Rock Bands. There are some 1200 web pages on the website now, or actually, on the two websites – they work together pretty seamlessly at least. It won’t be long before I start a third website. Whew, it’s getting big! 🙂

I think I have come up with the missing ingredient on my website. The Under Appreciated to me are those with no Wikipedia article, so I am adding a Wikipedia summary to the more appreciated who do have one. For instance, I have only referred once to Irving Berlin so far; but now, there is information on him – one-stop shopping in other words. Check it out:

Betty Northcott Snitzer
Irving Berlin is the king of American popular music. And he only died a few years ago at age 100!

One of the greats, without a doubt. I will be saying more about him at a later date I’m sure.

The latest improvements to my Website makes it more comprehensive: I am adding Wikipedia intros to all of the web pages. I have only done the Highly Appreciated and Greatly Appreciated so far. Check it out, with one of the last ones I did this morning:

Betty Northcott Snitzer
Why isn’t Neil Young more appreciated? I absolutely love him.

I’m with you, Betty. I have been a fan since his days with Buffalo Springfield.
