Here’s a link (not the best link probably, but a link nonetheless) to a great compliation CD of Bomp-related artists; the name – Laugh While You Can, Monkey Boy! – comes from a line spoke by John Lithgow in the cool 1984 science fiction movie, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension. The final cut is “Sing You Sinners”, which is the opening song on the Moon Going Down CD of this month’s Under-Appreciated Rock Artist of the Month, Thomas Anderson. The CD also includes several songs by likely future UARB’s: “Hot Pants Power” by the Lovemasters, “The First Time” by Amanda Jones (that’s a band, not an individual), “Farmer C” by Alpha Stone, and “Are You Happy Now?” by the Streetwalkin’ Cheetahs.
