A true hard-rock legend has passed: Lemmy, frontman for Motörhead, one of the loudest bands ever, and former member of one of my favorite bands, Hawkwind. In fact, “Motörhead” was originally a Hawkwind song before it became a band name. I just saw his name in the paper this week in the Birthday column as he passed his 70th birthday. I celebrate his passing by playing one of his hottest songs, “Ace of Spades” (the whole album is legendary):
