Climax Blues Band – 1969-72 (1973): Originally known as the Climax Chicago Blues Band (though they are actually from the U.K.), they dropped the “Chicago” part of their name and continued recording albums for many more years. The Climax Blues Band had two legitimate hit songs in the U.S. with “I Couldn’t Get it Right” and “I Love You” in 1977 and 1981, respectively. 1969-72 is an early compilation of songs from their first four albums that even many of the band’s own fans don’t know about (the album was never released in the U.S. – I have the British LP myself); 1969-72 doesn’t appear in the discography for the Climax Blues Band in either Allmusic or Wikipedia.
